Dr. Michael E. Marden was born and raised in the Midcoast Maine area. After graduating Belfast High School, he attended the University of Maine and majored in Biology and pursued his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Massachusetts College of Optometry which is now New England College of Optometry. He has three adult sons and lives with his wife Ramona in Morrill. Dr. Marden has been examining eyes in the Midcoast Maine area for over 35 years. His hobbies include cutting firewood with his brother in the winter months and umpiring youth baseball and softball in the summer months.
Dr. Neville grew up in Lincolnville. He graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree, and earned his Doctor of Optometry and Master of Vision Science degrees with honors from New England College of Optometry. After completing a residency at the Bill Hefner Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury, NC, he spent time in private practice in Florida. Dr. Neville joined MCR Health Services, a community health center, in Bradenton, FL in 2010. In 2015 he was promoted to director of the MCR Health Services Vision Department. He joined Rockport Family Eye Care in August 2016 with eight years of experience. He is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, and Maine Optometric Association.
Jack Marden is Dr. Marden’s trusty sidekick at the Rockport and Belfast Family Eye Care offices. Jack is an eight year old black lab who enjoys his afternoon snacks, back rubs, chewing on tennis balls, and greeting visitors with a tail wag. Don’t worry though, if you would prefer a Jack-free exam, just let us know.
